Environment Award
Baldivis Children's Forest

Sponsored by Baldivis Community Association and BHP Billiton Nickel West

Each year participating schools involved with the Baldivis Children’s Forest select a student deserving of an Environmental Award.  The student will have participated in activities at the forest during the current year and applied what he/she learnt at the forest to the wider community.

BHP Billiton Nickel West sponsors an award for a student at each school.  BHP present this award at each schools end of year assembly. The criterion for selection for the award is outlined below.

The winning student's entry  from each school is then submitted to a judging panel made up of members from  Baldivis Community Association. The student selected as overall winner receives a prize donated by the Baldivis Community Association and becomes ambassador for the Forest for the following year. As ambassador the student would be required to be a spokesperson for the Forest, including media, ceremonies and presentations.  Baldivis Community Association present this award at the students end of year school assembly.

School winners need to be chosen by the end of week 5 term 4.

The overall winner is announced at the end of week 6 so arrangements can be made to be included in the school’s award assembly.
